BSBMED201A Use basic
medical terminology
Covers understanding and responding to instructions, carrying
out routine tasks and communicating with a range of internal/external
clients in a Medical Office, using appropriate basic medical
terminology.
BSBMED302B Prepare and process medical accounts
Covers providing information to patients regarding fee structures,
processing referrals, preparing and processing medical accounts
for a range of patients
BSBMED305B Apply the principles of confidentiality,
privacy and security within the medical environment
Specifies the outcomes required to apply principles and requirements
relating to confidentiality, privacy and security to work within
the medical environment
- 2 day Program Fee: $600 (GST exempt)

full qualification programs – 5 % discount for employees

Certificate
II in Health Support
The Health and Communtiy Services Sectors
are a main employer or receptionists and adminstrative roles,
with over approximately 60 000 people nationally engaged as
receptionists in these sectors. Job prospects are good, with
forecast 6% jobs growth over the next five years.
The Health Training Solutions initiative offers the Certificate
II in Health Support Services (HLT21207) as an entry
level qualification into the career framework and also as a
multipurpose qualification for all health support employees
who may specialise in later job roles.
The Certificate II in Health Support Services
has 12 units to complete the full qualification in the Health
Administration stream, and topics covered include:


- Infection Control
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Patient
/ Customer Service
- Responding to Challenging Behaviour
- Manual
Handling
- Communication
- Wordprocessing
and Spreadsheet skills
All topics are also available
as stand alone modules for private participants. A range of
alternative electives are also available for participants interested

Certificate
III in Health Support Services /Health Administration
( HLT32907)
The Health Training Solutions initiative
offers the Certificate
III in Health Support Services as an experienced level
qualification in the career framework and also as a multipurpose
qualification for all health support employees who may specialise
in later job roles. Job prospects are moderate, with forecast
3.5% jobs growth over the next five years.
The initiative also offers the Certificate
III in Health Administration qualification specifically
for administrative personnel in the health and community
services sector.
The Certificate III qualifications have
15 units to complete the full qualification:

The Certificate IV qualification has
15 units to complete the full qualification in the Health Administration
